Oriolo Romano. Winter Festival

In mid-December, Oriolo Romano celebrates winter with a very original festival. After a convivial evening, on Sunday morning we start with a Chamomile in the winter and begin  the provincial Cyclocross Championship.

The afternoon continues with a very interesting hike to the beech forest where each participant has a torch that illuminates the landscape.

The first weekend of September in Bolsena the Carrareccia race is held dedicated to vintage bicycles.

It starts on Friday with conferences on sports, food and nature and then on Saturday there is a market dedicated to cycling.

It ends on Sunday with a bicycles ride.

These days also give an excellent an opportunity to discover the village with guided tours and to taste the traditional dishes of the Bolsena cuisine.

Contigliano. St. Francis' Way by bike

The journey of St. Francis in the Holy Valley can also be done by bicycle using the Ciclovia della Conca Reatina.

It is a 21 km long ring route that starts from the beautiful city of Rieti.

The route runs along the Velino and Turano rivers from their transparent waters.

The trail does not require a particular skill level, making it suitable for those who do not want to make much effort but want to experience nature.

Anguillara Sabazia. Cycle path of the lakes

The Anguillara Sabazia cycle path crosses the Regional Natural Park, is about 8 km long and can be covered by bicycle, on horseback or on foot.

You cross different panoramas from that of the lakes of Bracciano and Martignano to that of the Sabatini and Tolfa mountains and the Roman countryside.

The starting point is in Anguillara Sabazia at the Mola Vecchia dell’Arrone and the route is a loop with a series of information boards along the way.

The descents range from 2 to 5 km and their difficulty depends on the slope and obstacles on the trail.

The obstacles are natural or artificial: jumps, gradients, sections of broken rocks and roots.
