The Abbadia bridge of Canino is located along one of the main connections with the region which crossed the necropolis of the Osteria, and went to the inner cities of Etruria.
The bridge has three arches supported by two pylons in square work resting in the rocky river bed.
On pylons several subsequent construction projects can be noticed.
The oldest part in red tuff dates back to the Etruscan period.
The reinforcement of the structure by the Romans dates back to the first century BC.
Before the unification of Italy, the border between the Papal State and the Grand Duchy of Tuscany passed right over the hump of this bridge.
