Blera. Diavolo (Devil's) Bridge

Blera. Diavolo (Devil's) Bridge

Blera was located along the Clodia way and Romans built here in the third century BC.

Roman remains are found in the Devil's Bridge, in the valley, in the remains of numerous columbaria sometimes monumental, columns, walls and ceramics.

The Via Clodia united the Via Aurelia, which followed the coast, with the Via Cassia, a parallel road that connected with the north through the lakes.

It was a track that served both for military purposes and for trade, bringing wealth to the territories in times of peace.
