Castro dei Volsci. Polygonal walls

On Monte Nero of Castro dei Volsci, there are traces of the ancient settlement of the Volsci consisting of a large wall circle made of very large stone placed without mortar.

The polygonal walls probably dates back to the 7th century BC and had three doors that allowed access inside and in some sections are over 3,00 metres high and about 1,20 metres thick.
