Rignano Flaminio. Cesare Borgia Cannon

In the square behind the Rocca Savelli in Rignano Flaminio, you can see a big cannon of 1500s, a piece of Spanish artillery formed by iron bars bound together by beaten rings of the same metal.

The story has it that it belonged to Cesare Borgia, but it should be treat as a weapon abandoned by Lanzichenecchi in 1527 on return from Sack of Rome.
