Cineto Romano. Roman Villa Collelungo

In the locality of Collelungo of Cineto Romano, along the Via Valeria Vetus, was found an ancient roman villa dating from the third century BC.

Its special feature is the discovery of the area for the oil processing and wine.

A press (toroidal) was found, plus a long tank for the collection of liquid and a channel formed on the floor which allowed the liquid to flow into the trays in the adjacent compartment.

There were also found fragments of a wheat mill in leucitite (silicate rock).
