Nepi. Eighteenth-century Aqueduct

The double-arched aqueduct was built in Roman style, and runs through the municipal area of Nepi.

For its realization several architects were involved, including Giacomo Barozzi called ‘Il Vignola’.

Until then it had not been easy to convey water into the city, but in 1702 the architect Filippo Barigioni designed this system of large arches.

The work was completed only in 1727.
