Corchiano. Fescennium Etruscans

The centre of Falisco of Fescennium Etruscans was virtually always inhabited and some features can be recognised such as the hollow of Sant'Egidio, a deep excavated road for more than 10 meters in tuff.

On the walls two Etruscan inscriptions are preserved and perhaps shows the name of the road builder: Larth Vel Arnies.

Along the route are found tunnels and burial spaces. Other cemeteries testify active human presence from the eighth to the third century BC.
