Fontechiari. Ruins of the Saint John the Baptist Church

In the heart of the historic center of Fontechiari, are the ruins of an ancient Benedictine settlement.

The ruins of the Saint John the Baptist Church whose stone portal and a single window can be glimpsed, a circular structure that was a water reservoir with a fountain.

The nearby Palazzo Viscogliosi was the original dwelling of the complex.
