Ischia di Castro. Hermitages of Ischia di Castro

In the hills around Ischia di Castro there are some hermitages.

The Poggio Conte is housed in a stone ridge with Cistercian features and overlooks a valley with a small waterfall. The spaces intended for habitation have collapsed while it retains the small church with columns and capitals carved in the tuff. The rooms were painted in the thirteenth century

The hermitage of Ripatonna Cicognina is dug on three levels and was used from the fifteenth to the seventeenth century.
