Pomezia. Major Tower

Torre Maggiore - Major Tower in Pomezia is perhaps the most imposing tower of the Roman countryside being about 30 meters in height divided into five floors above ground.

It was built in 1334 by the Savelli family who had to fight the Orsini. It was made with blocks of tufa and windows had marble frames.

It was surrounded by a wall and in the vicinity there was a church.
