Sermoneta. Monticchio Tower

Sermoneta. Monticchio Tower

Today, the Monticchio tower appears as an 'artistic installation' on an isolated rock left after the excavations of a quarry of Sermoneta.

It is a medieval tower called della Vittoria (victory) which was located near an ancient post station on the Via Consolare.

This area is rich in sulphurous and mineral waters and was the river port on the Cavata River.
