The Etruscan necropolis of Ischia di Castro is known for a large monumental tomb of the VI century BC in the form of semidado, and the tomb called the "Chariot of Castro".
Here was found a specimen of rare Etruscan chariot, now on display at the Museum of Viterbo.
Across the river you can see a stretch of a road of Etruscan origin called "Via Cava" that some scholars think is a stretch of the Via Clodia used until the Renaissance.
The road is realized with a deep cut in the tuff of about 20 metres.
