Grotte di Castro. Necropolis of Vigna La Piazza

The necropolis of Vigna la Piazza in Grotte di Castro was in operation between the late eighth and early seventh century BC and its feature was a section of individual burials in the grave.

The graves were inserted into a circle of tufa blocks in dry places.

The grave was dug in the ground with a NE-SW orientation and the walls were covered with tufa slivers.
