Piglio. Roman Villa

Piglio. Roman Villa

In Fontana di Grano di Piglio, among vineyards and olive groves, was found a villa "Patrizia" of the Roman era, dating from I-II century BC.

Part of the polychrome mosaic floor tiles in glass paste are visible, as well as the remains of thermal baths with its heating system and hot water production.

It is also found a marble statue, finely worked, unfortunately headless and missing the left arm.
