Pontecorvo. Rodoaldo Tower

The Rodoaldo tower was part of the fortification and today is used as a bell tower of the cathedral.

It is a squat and massive structure with a square plan.

It was built with large blocks of travertine from the walls of the nearby ancient roman city of Aquino.

Within the city there is a stretch of 300 meters of Lombard walls, remnants of the castle walls.

The only ancient gate remaining after the war is that of Santo Stefano Gate, which has a covered walkway with a round arch.
