Roccasecca. Archaeological Park of Mount Asprano

Roccasecca. Archaeological Park of Mount Asprano

The castle of Roccasecca with the small medieval village have now become an archaeological park that includes the natural beauty and the history of the place.

From its summit one can feel the spirit of necessity and fear that had led the populations to take refuge on this summit, but also feel the power and mysticism of the place.

Saint Thomas was born here and this is the air he breathed.

Mount Asprano is also ideal for trekking and walking, on a path that can then reach Cassino following the either the way of Saint Benedict or the Gustav Line: it depends on your mood of the moment.
