    The castle of Monte Acuto in Maenza dates back to 1224, when Giovanni de Ceccano bequeathed it to his son Landolfo.

    The castle was almost completely destroyed in the fights between the families of the Caetani, Conti, Colonna and other barons of the Province of Marittima and Campagna.
