Town Mill

Jenne. Town Mill

The town mill of Jenne is a perfect example of industrial archeology.

It was opened in 1911, with the arrival at Jenne of electricity, and was in operation until the 1980s.

It worked every day because wheat and corn (pasta and bread) were the main form of livelihood of the inhabitants.

The mill consists of millstones in rock and hoppers of wood and iron.
