Casperia. Town Walls

The town of Casperia has been enclosed by walls since 1282.

These were a true masterpiece of military architecture and consummate defensive art of the thirteenth century.

You can access the old town through Porta Romana (West) and Porta S. Maria (north-east).

On this port, also known as Porta Reatina or Caprara, you can see a clock that keeps medieval canon time.
