Sperlonga. Truglia tower

Truglia tower was built in 1532 on a previous Roman tower, it is located on the tip of the promontory on which the town of Sperlonga stands.

Devastated by Barbarossa it was rebuilt in 1611 but in 1623 it was again destroyed by the Turks.

Between 1870 and 1969 it was used as the headquarters of the Guardia di Finanza and today is home to the "Marine Environment Education Center" of the 'Riviera d’Ulisse' regional natural park
