Marino. Church of Our Lady of the Rosary

The church of Our Lady of the Rosary was built in Marino by Giuseppe Sardi, a pupil of Bernini, and was completed in 1713.

The church was attached to the convent of Dominican nuns built in 1675.

In the portal is the Dominican order's symbol: a dog with flaming torch in mouth.

The interior is in the Rococo style with white stucco and the church has a central dome.

In the main altar wall you can admire a painting of the Madonna attributed to the school of Mino da Fiesole of the fifteenth century.

The church is located in the so-called "Giardinaccio" (garden), what remains of the two magnificent gardens of the Colonna princes.
