Vasanello. Church of San Salvatore

Vasanello. Church of San Salvatore

The church of San Salvatore in Vasanello dates back to the eleventh century and was built in Romanesque-Lombard style.

It has an elegant 28 meters high bell tower with six rows of mullioned windows, built in the thirteenth century.

The church has three naves and inside the altar and raised apse is a tabernacle-ciborium of the sixteenth century.

Among the frescoes there is a shrine of the Madonna della Febbre painted by Scarelli in 1878 and the fresco Pietà and Saints attributed to Piermatteo d’Amelia.
