Tuscania. Church of Santa Maria del Riposo

The church of Santa Maria del Riposo a Tuscania has a Renaissance appearance.

It dates back to the fifteenth century when it was built next to a Franciscan monastery, now a national museum.

The interior has three naves and contains several frescoes and works of the sixteenth century.

Among the works of art, is a wooden crucifix of the fifteenth century and a painting of the sixteenth century by Gerolamo Siciolante depicting the Presentation in the Temple.
