Ascrea. Church of St. Nicholas of Bari

The church of St. Nicholas of Bari in Ascrea dates from 1252.

Inside you can admire some interesting paintings depicting the Madonna of the Rosary and St. Nicholas.

During the work of the church restructuring, paintings and triptychs were found.

Among them, a beautiful fresco, dating back to 1500, depicting four figures: San Nicola, the Madonna and Child, St. Francis and Jesus.
