The small church of Saint Mary Magdalene is located in the lower part of Ciciliano, not far from the ancient Roman nucleus of Trebula Suffenas and close to important communication routes.
A medieval hospital was built next to the church, a place where pilgrims and wayfarers stopped. From this church starts the pilgrims' path that reaches the sanctuary of Mentorella on Monte Guadagnolo at 1,218 meters above sea level and which is still traveled by walkers and nature lovers today.
The church looks like a simple country religious building but its interior shows a cycle of 17th century frescoes. The plastered facade of the church stands out from the exposed stone facade of the old hospital.
