Isola del Liri. Cona Mazzetti church

Isola del Liri. Cona Mazzetti church

The small Cona Mazzetti church in Isola del Liri dates back to the 19th century and has a particular octagonal shape.

The temple is built on a 'cone' of rock and is accessed via 23 stone steps.

It takes its name from a painting of the Pietà made by Loreto Mazzetti, an eclectic man of genius and culture from Isola del Liri with 7 degrees.
