Roccagorga. Hermitage of St. Erasmus

The hermitage of St. Erasmus is located in the mountains of Roccagorga, about 800 meters above sea level near a water source.

Erasmo is the patron of Roccagorga and perhaps here there was also a convent.

The small church is a rectangular room and the altar is a fresco of St. Erasmus in Bishop's robes, a statue and numerous votive offerings.

Every May there is a procession.

The path past the hermitage continues and goes through all the peaks of the Lepini Mountains.
