Vetralla. Regina Pacis Monastery

The Regina Pacis monastery in Vetralla is located in Giardino, close to the municipal cemetery.

The convent, built in 1586, was the residence of the Capuchins until 1962.

Since 1972 it has hosted a community of cloistered Benedictine nuns along the Via Francigena at the foot of the Cimini Mountains.

The church was built in 1575 by the Capuchin friars.

In 1580 the adjoining convent with cloister was built.

The church has a single nave with side chapels according to the type of Franciscan churches.
