Lenola. Sanctuary of the Madonna del Colle

The sanctuary of the Madonna del Colle in Lenola is a site of miracles and pilgrimage.

It was built on the ridge of a mountain in the seventeenth century.

From this point on the Aurunci mountains, the view looks over the plain, the rivers Liri and Garigliano, the lake of Fondi to the sea.

The sanctuary in classical style with brick facade.

It was consecrated in 1610.

Its interior has a single nave has a painting of the Virgin from the eighteenth century.
