The flow of the Melfa river today is very low resulting from the capture of the Aurunci aqueduct and a hydroelectric plant, but despite this, in some periods of the year it is possible to follow the watercourse in kayak.

The kayak is the canoe originally used by the Canadian Inuit that accommodates one person and is controlled by a double-paddle.
