Nazzano. Nature Reserve Lake Nazzano

Lake Nazzano was formed in 1955 by a dam on the Tiber, and since 1968 this area has become a protected area that includes three municipalities.

The landscape is characterized by the morphology of the Tiber flowing slowly forming large bends and meanders.

The rich presence of birds is one of the main features of this protected area. The flora includes reed beds and marsh iris, and a special 'riparian forest'.
