Varco Sabino. Nature Reserve of the mountains of Navegna and Cervia

The town of Varco Sabino falls within the Nature Reserve of Cervia and Navegna mountains and includes a part of the Salto Lake that has been created in 1940 by a dam on the river Salto.

The dam has a wall of 90 meters and from its top you can enjoy an incredible view.

On a rocky spur, called Unicorn of the Salto, near the dam, an engraved stone plaque commemorates the victims during the construction work.
