The park of the San Liberato estate in Bracciano was designed in the sixties by the famous English landscape architect Russell Page, who was enchanted by the beauty of the place.
It includes rare plants from around the world, Canadian maple, Japanese cherry, camellias, rhododendrons and Choisya ternate (Mexican orange).
The park presents a crossover of styles where the typical English garden is marked by evergreen hedges of the Italian-style gardens.
On the estate are several theme gardens such as the Herb Garden, opposite the medieval church and which takes up the themes of the simple Orto, and precious old rose garden.
The park was established in the Romanesque church of San Liberato of the ninth century, that was built on the ruins of the ancient Roman Forum Clodii.
