Antrodoco. Baths of Antrodoco

The properties of the sulphurous waters of the Antrodoco baths have been known since Roman times.

The sulphurous water gushed from the slopes of Monte Giano, and the baths were formed in natural pools reserved for men and women.

In 1865 it was made into a spa, today a historic building, equipped with bathtubs, places for treatment and a large park where you can stay in the shade of the trees.

In 1943 the establishment became a command post of the German troops.

In the 1970s the town lived some golden years thanks to the Spa of Antrodoco which attracted many people.
