The Varroniane spa in Cassino is named after the famous writer Varro who lived in the first century. B.C. and had a villa here, in the area called 'Monticelli'.
In ancient times the god of waters. Deluentinus, was worshipped here.
The Varroniane baths are immersed in a rich and picturesque vegetation due to the thousands of natural springs that flow into the park and then constitute a branch of the Gari river.
All these mineral waters have been channeled into fountains in a continuous stream with a temperature of 13 degrees. The therapeutic benefits relate mainly to kidney stones, gout and diuretic effect.
The area of Cassino has been equipped for picnics, rallies and sports activities and for just spending a day relaxing.
