The San Francesco Woollen Factory was on the right bank of the main branch of the Liri river, the one under the major waterfall in the center of Isola del Liri.
This industrial complex was also built in the premises of a former convent acquired during the Napoleonic period, the convent of Saint Francis.
Today, some of its venues have been dedicated to a multimedia room for music and events and municipal offices.
In the multimedia room, equipped for shows and engraving, an ancient wool production line is visible, a real gem of industrial archaeology.
The line is protected by a glass plate and is in keeping with the style of the room creating an interesting synthesis between past and recent technology.
