San Donato Val di Comino. Rock of the Germans

The Rock of the Germans, at an altitude of 1214 meters, in San Donato Val di Comino. 

It is an outcrop of Mount Pizzutto where there was a military post of the German army in retreat after breaking of the Gustav Line.

There are tunnels and lookout towers built by stonemasons of San Donato in exchange for food.
