Vera Tolfa bags

The Catana, also known as 'Vera Tolfa', is a characteristic shoulder bag made entirely by hand with the Tolfa leather.

The style dates back to 1750 when these bags were used by pilgrims and knights to transport their bare essentials comfortably and safely.

During the 60s and 70s in Italy, this bag became a veritable cult object, an icon of the youth revolution, together with the Eskimo.
