Velletri. Museums Diocesan, Archaeological and of Geopaleontology

The Velletri Museums (Archaeological, of Geopaleontology and Prehistory of the Colli Albani and Diocesan) are located in the town hall in a visit itinerary along which you recompose the fundamental stages of the history of this proud and free city.

The museum was inaugurated in 1920 and contains the monumental Sarcophagus of Velletri or Sarcophagus of the labours of Hercules from the 2nd century.  

It also enhanced by a specialized library, a restoration workshop, two warehouses, a conference room.
