Acquafondata. Memorial stone of the CEF

In Acquafondata there is the memorial stone of the CEF.

The CEF is the French expeditionary force in Italy to which the Moroccan and North African troops belonged who arrived with the allies.

In reality these troops distinguished themselves for their violence against the local population and the fallen were buried in a military cemetery in Venafro.
