Alatri. Internment Camp of Fraschette

The Internment Camp of Fraschette in Alatri is located along the road towards Fumone and was opened in 1942, during World War II.

It was used for the confinement of political prisoners, social disidents and prisoners of war.

After the war it was used to accommodate displaced persons, refugees and political dissidents from various parts of Europe and Africa and was closed in the mid-70s.
