Alatri. Old Fountain

The old fountain near the church of San Michele in Alatri dates back to 1889 and is the work of Gaetano Zaccardi of Frosinone.

It was built over a former 'bottino', a Roman cistern that brought water to the village.

It was part of the ancient Roman aqueduct connecting Guarcino and Alatri.
