Anagni. St Cross Gate

The Santa Croce Gate (Porta Santa Croce) in Anagni dates back to the 11th-12th centuries.

It retains its medieval appearance with an imposing round stone arch and the remains of a tower that overlooked it where the guards once stood.

Next to the door you can recognize portions of medieval walls.

Under the Porta Santa Croce the parades of delegates passed during middle ages

It is also represented in the crypt of the cathedral of Anagni in the part that tells the story of San Magno.
