Arlena di Castro. Painted Etruscan tomb

In Arlena di Castro, in the locality "La Piantata", not far from the provincial road leading to Piansano, in the 80’s was discovered an underground Etruscan tomb of one room that dates back to the fourth century BC.

The tomb had been violated by the illegal entry.

It contained some caskets and sarcophagi lids made of local stone.

The special feature of this tomb is the painting on the walls and across the ceiling with black and red colors
