Bagnoregio. Monument of San Bonaventura

In Bagnoregio, the monument dedicated to San Bonaventura dated back to 1896.

He is the work of the sculptor Cesare Aureli and is located in the centre of Piazza Sant'Agostino.

The bronze sculpture is 2.50 meters high and at the base it presents the life of the saint.

It tells the miraculous healing of Saint Francis that heralds the "Buona Ventura" and the visit of St. Thomas asking him where he had achieved all his wisdom.

The saint's visit to the Council of Lyons is then reported as he tried to reunite the Greek and Latin churches.
