Priverno. Bargello San Giorgio Palace

Priverno. Bargello San Giorgio Palace

The Bargello San Giorgio Palace is one of the most beautiful in Priverno.

In the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, the 'Bargello' name meant a person with an important military post who often ruled the small towns.

By name and by the austere form of this palace, then, one can deduce that it was used by some form of municipal urban militia mentioned in some local papers.

The palace is located in the centre of the town and has a majestic structure with a white stone façade, embellished only with mullioned windows to form the first floor, with high towers.
