Blera. Old Village

Blera is crossed by the Via Clodia, an ancient Roman road that in the past connected the Via Aurelia with the Cassia.

Along the route you can distinguish the different periods of construction of the village.

One of the most characteristic parts is the one near the ancient entrance gate crossed by the road that today leads downstream to the course of the Biedano river.

Here you can see all the medieval constructions in tuff with the characteristic yellow color and you can see the ancient route that passes through a series of constructions excavated in the tuff.

They are environments that over the centuries have been used for residence and finally for cellars and stables.
