Blera. Well-Shaped Fountain

In the courtyard in front of the Church of the Assumption there is a splendid example of a well-shaped fountain.

The shape is characteristic of the octagonal fountains of the Viterbo area with 8 panels decorated with writings or reliefs.

In this case the fountain of Blera is however made of white marble and on its sides it has two columns with a simple capital and a beam that unites them.

This scene is today used a lot during weddings when decorated with flowers and plants.
