Boville Ernica. Filonardi Palace

Boville Ernica. Filonardi Palace

The Filonardi Palace was created from the transformation of the ancient castle of Boville Ernica in the sixteenth century by the Cardinal Ennio.

It is located in St. Peter's Square that was the courtyard of the Simoncelli Palace.

The Renaissance building features elegant window frames and a beautiful Renaissance portal attributed to Vignola.

Inside is a large living room on the floor of which are engraved the heraldic motifs of the Farnese and the Della Rovere, the protecting families of Cardinal Filonardi.
